Triple threat
I’m afraid my baby boy has the triple threat. First a cold. Then that turned into an ear infection. And now we feel some swollen gums that point to teething. Poor kid. It’s the perfect storm.

Always at my house until my kids are grown and have kids. I don’t like traveling for the holidays and I think kids who believe in Santa should sleep in their own beds on Christmas Eve.
The downside of baby led weaning

Nah! I shower like a ninja. I get 20 happy minutes and 10 minutes of mild fussing and then full out screaming. I think if I let him crawl around, he’d ignore me, but that’s not safe in the bathroom yet (guess who has babyproofing in his stocking?)

Lorelai: Luckily, duvet covers notoriously like whoever they go home with. They're like golden retrievers.
Sookie: You know what happens when kids don't like you? They tie you to a chair. They brain you with a bat. They set fire to the house and blame it on the neighbors.
Lorelai: Wow, now you can't have kids or live next door to them.

Is it weird that I get a little excited whenever I see this episode, simply because the situation Sookie talks about happened near where I used to live? Maybe not weird, but demented.
Day 20: All time favorite Christmas present.
I’m honestly not sure. I remember some presents here and there, like my little people dollhouse or the time I got a dvd player. Nothing really stands out as the most awesome thing ever though. Maybe the year my aunt got me my first chapter book?
Day 19: Whose gift was the hardest to buy this...
My parents are notoriously difficult to buy for. (Protip: the answer to “What do you want?” is not “Oh you don’t have to get me anything.”)
But this year, Ben was difficult. I think the main problem is that people started asking me what he wanted early, so I just gave suggestions. And I gave out all of the cool ones. That’s the downside to having EIGHT...

Day 16: Your favorite Christmas tradition.
The only tradition we really had growing up was opening just one gift on Christmas Eve. We always bake cookies for my grandparents too.

Mall traffic. And we live across the street from a mall, so there’s no avoiding it.
Day 14: Share a previous Christmas memory.
Last year was probably the best Christmas. I was 12 weeks pregnant with Ben and we chose Christmas Eve to start telling people. I’ll never forget my mom screaming in my ear and yelling “I knew it! I knew you were pregnant!”
Seriously, how will we ever top that “gift”?
